Made himself an everlasting name in the opera and more importantly as a charitable icon who never stopped bringing hope to the heart of the "war child" ...

He was always saying that: "I (Pavarotti) lost my whole family during the World War II when I was 10 and all I could possibly do was singing to bring the light of hope into my heart and into the hearts of all other people ..."
